St. Wendreda's

March Cambridgeshire

The bell ringers at St. Wendreda's church practice on a Monday evening between 7.30 and 9pm. When enough ringers are available we also ring before Sunday morning services. We regularly have between 10 and 15 people turning up to a practice and the ages range from school age upwards towards retirement. Abilities also vary from learning to handle a bell to competent method ringing.

We are also involved in the Wisbech district ringing meetings where there is the opportunity to ring at other towers in the area and meet up with other ringers. These meetings take place once a month on a Saturday.

Anyone interested in learning more about the bells or learning to ring should either come to a tower open day, run twice a year, or contact the tower captain Michael Goakes on 07766 466799.

We are also available to ring for weddings - any requests should be made through the vicar preferably at the time of booking.
